CARS has a unique approach to evaluation services. Our team includes in-house staff and consultants who are experts in data collection and analysis, and we have extensive experience in presenting data to and from the prevention field.
However, most of our evaluation work focuses on capacity building. Through our training and technical assistance (TTA) events on the topic of evaluation, we offer a cost-effective way for organizations and individuals to measure their outcomes and plan future efforts. We can provide TTA on choosing evaluation tools, developing evaluation instruments, conducting needs and resource assessments, collecting data, and analyzing and summarizing data in meaningful ways. We have helped many local programs prepare and submit reports for funder-required performance measures, such as Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) reporting and state-level evaluation requirements. And by helping programs demonstrate their effectiveness to the field, we also facilitate knowledge transfer from service to science.
