Virtual Host Training!
Life After Loss Tables: The Educators Edition
A joint project of the School Crisis Recovery and Renewal project and instagram.com/thedinnerparty / https://www.facebook.com/ThisIsTheDinnerParty/
🗓️ August 17 and 18, 2022

Become A Life After Loss Table (LALT) Host! Learn how to hold space for educators to connect and share about what it means to teach, lead school sites or systems, and provide school services after the death of a student or alum.

Interested in holding space for grief and the grief of others?

We’re looking for educators who’ve lost a student to join us in an inaugural effort to break down the silences and stigmas attached to grief in schools as educators, and to create spaces where we can explore how the experience has shaped us and the work we do.

Educators, we invite you to join us for a two-day training on how to hold space for grieving peers, as part of an inaugural cohort of hosts.

Learn more about and sign up to be a part of this inaugural host cohort by August 1, 2022:

Oak Trees in a Storm: Growing our Skills for Generative Conflict
🗓️ August 3 and 10, 2022
9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. PT /12:00 pm - 3:30 p.m. ET

An essential element in school crisis recovery and renewal is growing our skills to navigate repair when there has been rupture. Crisis is rupture, creates rupture, and thrives off of rupture. Leading school communities requires us to sit knowing how to navigate and move with harm, apology and conflict.

That’s why we’re thrilled to partner with the Radical Root Collective, an amazing team of facilitators, coaches, and data experts that each bring their unique magic together to support organizational healing and transformation. In this special two-part institute, we engage in deep learning, inquiry and strategy practice.

Our 2nd Summer Institute!
Boundaries for Joy: Strategies for Renewal in a Time of Unrest

🗓️ August 11, 2022
9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. PT / 12:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. ET

One of our project’s central tenets is to listen and learn from educators: what is most needed to recover from a school crisis? How might we create spaces for educators to experience their own processing so that they might feel more resourced and supported?

Join us on August 11th for our 2nd SCRR Summer Institute, where we gather to reimagine wellness and explore ideas, structures and rituals that allow us to welcome the new school year more deeply attuned to our personal and collective needs.

This summer, we focus specifically on boundaries for joy:
✨ How might boundaries inform and form our joy?
✨ What are we upholding by our abilities and inabilities to honor our needs?
