Projects I Support:
Get to know me
Since 1992, I have brought extensive experience coordinating programs at the local, regional, and statewide levels across government, education, military, non-profit, and for-profit sectors. As the Distance Learning and IT Manager at CARS, I lead the strategic implementation, management, and security of technology systems across all organizational projects, ensuring efficient operations, regulatory compliance, and high-quality service delivery.
I have deep expertise in federal IT security and accessibility standards, including NIST 800-30, FIPS PUB 199, and Section 508. In 2018, I played a key role in successfully guiding CARS through SAMHSA’s rigorous Authorization to Operate (ATO) process and continue to oversee compliance with IT and privacy regulations at the local, state, and federal levels. I also manage our distance learning training platforms, provide strategic guidance to improve online service delivery, and oversee the technical execution of webinars and virtual events to ensure high-quality training experiences. In addition, I have vast experience designing and producing accessible, 508-compliant digital content, including graphics, infographics, logos, videos, reports, and presentations to support a wide range of initiatives.
Before joining CARS, I supported military organizations and programs, developed program curricula, designed data tracking systems, and oversaw state level educator certification processes. I also served as a classroom and at-risk youth technology instructor and trained educators on integrating technology into learning environments. With additional education and experience in accounting, HR, and payroll, I offer a well-rounded, multidisciplinary perspective on organizational operations.
As a proud military spouse and now the spouse of a disabled combat veteran, I’m especially honored to support our project staff who work in behavioral health, mental health, veteran services, and beyond. I strive to ensure they have the tools, training, and systems needed to work efficiently and reach those who need support most.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, with minors in Graphic and Web Design, Marketing, and e-Marketing with Honors—completing my degree after attending six colleges across the globe during my time as a military spouse. Like every project I take on, I made sure it got done—and done right.

SAMHSA's Authorization to Operate (ATO)
I am especially proud of the key role I played in successfully guiding CARS through SAMHSA’s rigorous, year-long Authorization to Operate (ATO) process for our internally designed and developed online consultant TTA tracking portal. This was a significant achievement that ensured our system met federal security standards and could be confidently used across our initiatives.
Security Guidance Document
I'm also proud of the security guidance document I created early in the COVID-19 pandemic for Zoom tech hosts. It was shared statewide in California and became a valuable resource for organizations navigating remote work and virtual events securely.
Graphic Design for Statewide Training Manual
Lastly, I am proud of the graphic design work I completed for a a statewide training manual and was specifically requested multiple times by the funder to do other work as my high-level work met their strict standards, and with style.
