Community Wellness
At CARS, we partner with local leaders and community members to build their capacity to support one another and foster community wellness.
Over the past 10 years, CARS has supported communities through peer led training, authentic engagement, and practices that reflect their unique strengths. We are committed to co-creating opportunities with local leaders and community members to build their capacity to support their communities and empower community wellness. Our approach centers on partnership with communities, including Veterans, Latinx, Black, LGBTQ + and AAPI communities through culturally grounded strategies, community defined practices and focused efforts in suicide prevention that honor and amplify lived experiences.
By drawing from community wisdom and fostering approaches that center sustainability and connectedness, we aim to cultivate healing, resilience and a strong sense of belonging.

Partnerships have always been at the core of our work—and we mean true partnership. For us, that looks like learning alongside communities, making space for voices to be heard, and creating room for honest dialogue. As technical assistance providers, we’re intentional about connecting people and staying grounded in what’s happening in and around the communities we serve. That’s central to our approach to community wellness: building relationships, strengthening collaboration, and supporting solutions shaped by the people closest to the work.
