Overview
The Center for Applied Research Solutions (CARS) provides technical assistance, project management, and communications support for Georgia’s Comprehensive Suicide Prevention (CSP) project.
In partnership with the Georgia Department of Public Health, we convene community voices, capture insights from focus groups, and translate data-driven strategies into accessible resources and campaigns. Our role is to ensure the work is collaborative, grounded in community needs, and aligned with evidence-based suicide prevention practices.
Funded through the CDC’s Comprehensive Suicide Prevention Program, the Georgia CSP project expands suicide prevention efforts statewide through a data-driven, community-engaged approach. Grounded in the CDC’s Suicide Prevention Technical Package, the project strengthens protective factors, reduces risk, and promotes connectedness by partnering with diverse stakeholders. Key activities include surveillance, strategic planning, training, communications, and evaluation to advance equitable and sustainable suicide prevention.
