Projects I Support:
Get to know me
I’ve been with CARS as a writer and grants development specialist since 2015. During that time, I have led development of dozens of publications, products, and proposals. I’m passionate about writing clear, useful materials that actually DO something in the world—whether that is breaking down a complex topic, uplifting an emerging practice, or securing a new project that has the power to help people.
I have supported many of CARS’ national and state initiatives. I am especially interested in work related to infants, young children, and maternal health, and work to assist young people transitioning from systems (e.g., foster care, juvenile justice).
Previously, I taught undergraduate writing at University of California, Davis. As a lifelong Californian, I received my MA in English at UC Davis and my BA in English at Mills College. When I’m not writing grant proposals, I enjoy family time, reading, and hiking, and I’m passionate about wildlife conservation.
